Lon Overton
Lon's path in becoming a fine artist took an unexpected turn when a teacher influenced his career.

Our principal, Lon Overton, certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, in addition to maintaining a full-time office takes an active role in advancing the profession of architecture and assisting in the training of young designers. As a member of the American Institute of Architects, Mr. Overton has presided over the AIA’s Chesapeake Bay Chapter; Maryland Society; the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council and the CBC-AIA Committee for the Annapolis Historic Preservation Commission. In 1969 he installed the curriculum for the Architectural Technology Department at the Anne Arundel Community College and later, chaired that department for several years. Continuing his desire to provide the community with knowledgeable professionals, Mr. Overton has chaired the Interior Architecture and Design Department for the Maryland Institute, College of Art, in Baltimore, MD for eight years.
